Still Have Questions? We Have Answers!

Can I join or cancel at any time?

Of course! All classes are continuous and are designed so that a new child can join or stop at any time without skipping a beat.

What is the annual fee?

The $65 annual fee per child is charged each year your child is actively enrolled in classes. The annual fee ensures our coaches, equipment, and facilities are state-of-the-art and up-to-date to the standard your child deserves.

How do I know what class to enroll in?

Our classes are broken up into age groups and by skill level. Check out our class schedule, contact us, or come by the nearest SDG to find the best fit for your child.

What are the class sizes?

Every class at SDG adheres to strict ratios. Each class has no more than 8 students per instructor.

What are the qualifications of SDG coaches and staff?

All of our coaches are USAG certified, which includes: a background screen, Safety and Risk Management course, SafeSport, and basic gymnastics instruction courses. Our coaching staff also includes American Parkour Instructors, being the only gym in San Diego to provide the highest quality of parkour instruction.

All of our coaches are CPR/First Aid certified and have experience working with children. Most applicants have direct experience coaching gymnastics and/or other sports. We’re proud to have former teachers, physical therapists, and high school coaches working at SDG! Most of our coaches have college degrees or are currently enrolled in various San Diego universities.

Do you offer make-up classes?

Safety is our number one priority. In order to provide small ratios and class sizes and the best experience for each child, we don’t offer makeup classes.

Can I transfer classes mid-month?

You may transfer to another class if your family’s schedule changes. In order for your child to experience the most consistent coaching styles and progressions, we don’t allow transfers every month. Staying consistent is extremely important for the growth of your child.

What do I wear and bring to class?

For girls, we suggest a leotard, shorts, or leggings and a t-shirt or tank top. Boys can wear athletic shorts and a t-shirt or tank top. Any athletic clothing is suggested. Leotards are not mandatory. All students must be barefoot, and long hair must be pulled back into a ponytail.

What are San Diego Gymnastics & Parkour’s hours of operation?

Which Parkour + Ninja levels are offered at the Grossmont location?

Grossmont offers GymNinja (ages 3–5), GymWarrior (ages 5–6), Beginner Parkour (6+), Intermediate Parkour (invite-only), Advanced Parkour & Tricking (8+, invite-only), and a Parkour Team for athletes ready for additional commitment.

How do I sign up for Parkour classes at Grossmont?

Enrollment starts online—create an account, pick your preferred class, and select Grossmont at checkout. Tuition is billed one month in advance, including a prorated first month and the upcoming month, plus a $65 annual registration fee per child. Classes are capped to maintain low student-to-coach ratios.

Are there Parkour showcases or meets for Grossmont students?

Yes. Athletes on the Parkour Team attend friendly in-house competitions hosted quarterly across SDG gyms. These meets feature multiple formats such as Speed, Skill, Style, and Chase Tag, with select athletes invited to additional community events.

What does Parkour / Ninja help kids develop?

Parkour / Ninja teaches kids how to move confidently through obstacles while improving agility, balance, strength, and coordination. The program encourages creative movement and builds athletic skills in a fun, supportive environment.
